Dr. Jeff Wright is the younger brother of Dr. Greg Wright. They, along with their sister Kim, grew up in Frankton, Indiana and attended Frankton/Lapel Community Schools from grades K-12. Dr. Jeff attended Leach School and graduated from Frankton Jr/Sr High School in 1999. After high school graduation, Dr. Jeff began his dental school prerequisites and undergraduate coursework at Indiana University-Bloomington. Although the brothers are seven years apart, they have always had a close relationship. Dr. Greg would often mentor Dr. Jeff on his career path during Dr. Jeff’s high school, college and dental school days.
Dr. Jeff had always been interested in healthcare, but having an older brother that successfully graduated from dental school and started a career at David E. Bailey, DDS and Joseph M. Bailey DDS, definitely inspired him to take a closer look at dentistry.
During his time at IU, Dr. Jeff became an avid cyclist, training and riding in the Indiana University Student Foundation Little 500 race for his fraternity from 2000-2003. In 2003, Dr. Jeff was accepted to the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, and graduated in 2007 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dr. Jeff began his career at Bailey, Bailey & Wright Dentistry in Indianapolis, working alongside his brother Greg, Dr. David Bailey (his brother’s father-in-law) and Dr. Joseph Bailey. In 2010, Dr. Jeff bought into the practice and its name changed to Bailey & Wright Dentistry—a more simplistic approach that still represented the names of both sets of brothers. As a new partner and co-owner, Dr. Jeff wanted to focus on adding additional treatment options for patients, particularly implant placement and restoration.
Dr. Jeff has 14 years of experience placing and restoring dental implants. Whether it be a single tooth replacement or a full mouth restoration, he is very pleased to offer this treatment choice as a superior option to patients missing one or more teeth. With dental implants, a new smile is always the end result, so a great deal of accomplishment for Dr. Jeff is knowing a patient’s confidence is restored when treatment is complete.
Dr. Jeff is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Indianapolis District Dental Society.
In his free time, Dr. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Andrea, and their two children, Hudson and Landry. Dr. Jeff enjoys traveling, running (he has completed over 10 mini-marathons and would like to do a marathon one day), boating, cycling, the Indianapolis 500, IU athletics, and cheering on the Indianapolis Colts. Dr. Jeff also appreciates a good card game, crossword puzzle, board game or jigsaw puzzle.
Dr. Greg Wright grew up in Frankton, Indiana and attended Frankton/Lapel Community Schools from grades K-12. He attended Leach School for grades K-8 and graduated from Frankton Jr/Sr High School in 1991. Dr. Wright’s parents were both teachers in the Anderson School System. His dad, Maurice, taught Chemistry at Madison Heights High School (and later Anderson High School when the school changed names) for 36 years and his mom, Elizabeth, taught Home Economics a few years before and after raising their children. Dr. Wright has a younger sister, Kim, and a younger brother, Jeff, who is also a dentist working alongside Greg in Wright & Wheeler Dentistry, as well as Bailey & Wright Dentistry in Indianapolis.
During the summer before his junior year of high school, Dr. Wright participated in a cross-country camp at Marian College (now Marian University) in Indianapolis. During some free time he played a competitive tennis match with the camp’s director. Dr. Wright dove for a shot causing his racquet to hit the ground and bounce back into his two front teeth, breaking them. With such severe dental trauma as a teenager, he thought his smile was ruined forever. Fortunately, Dr. Wright had a wonderful family dentist that was extremely personable, accommodating and understanding. During his treatment, which included two root canals and porcelain veneers, Dr. Wright not only remembers the outstanding patient care he received, but also how much better he felt with his new smile. Because of this experience, Dr. Wright decided to pursue a career in the field of dentistry. He wanted to be able to recreate that same feeling of confidence for others seeking beautiful smiles.
After high school graduation, Dr. Wright attended Indiana University-Bloomington for his undergraduate studies. After three years, he received early admittance to Indiana University School of Dentistry. In 1998, he graduated from IU School of Dentistry with his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree and accepted an offer from his future father-in-law and dental mentor, Dr. David Bailey, as well as Dr. Joseph Bailey, to begin practicing at David E. Bailey, DDS and Joseph M. Bailey DDS in July of that same year. In 2002, Dr. Wright bought into the practice and its name changed to Bailey, Bailey & Wright Family Dentistry. In 2008, after Dr. Jeff Wright, Greg’s brother, joined the same practice, the name was simplified to Bailey & Wright Dentistry. Bailey & Wright Dentistry is located on the east side of Indianapolis.
Dr. Greg Wright has been practicing dentistry for 23 years. Dr. Wright enjoys getting to know his patients and their families and he is extremely proud of the large patient base he and his partners have built in their Indianapolis practice. He hopes to do the same at the Wright & Wheeler practice in Lapel. As a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Indianapolis District Dental Society, Dr. Wright is committed to the values of professional dentistry. He is a family and cosmetic practitioner with years of experience utilizing InvisalignⓇ as a means to properly align teeth without the use of metal braces.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wright has a passion for physical fitness and sharing that with his family. He enjoys being outdoors, running, hiking (especially in National Parks), IU athletics, and spending time with his wife, Charron and their three children, Conner, Logan, and Morgan.
Over the years, Dr. Wright has enjoyed coaching his kids’ baseball, basketball and soccer teams, as well as helping them to achieve their individual running goals. He spends his evenings and weekends watching his kids play soccer and run in cross country and track meets. He is involved in the Boy Scouts of America, having served as an adult leader for both of his sons, as well as supporting them on their path to Eagle Scout. He also finds time to volunteer as a mentor through Fishers Youth Mentoring Initiative and various ministries for his church.
In 2015, Dr. Wright accompanied other church members on a Dental Mission Trip to Guatemala. Together, they provided free dental care to a number of individuals in a poverty-stricken area. In 2019, he participated in a rigorous 10-day backpacking trip with his two sons arranged by the Boy Scouts of America and the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Both of these experiences taught him the importance of conservation and not taking anything for granted.
Dr. Tyler Wheeler grew up just south of Lapel in Fishers, Indiana and is a 2010 graduate of Hamilton Southeastern High School. While at Hamilton Southeastern, Dr. Wheeler was a member of the National Honor Society, Student Athletic Council, and was elected as Hamilton Southeastern’s Riverview Hospital IHSAA Role Model his senior year. Dr. Wheeler was also a 4-year basketball player and a captain on the team that helped capture the school’s first Sectional Championship in 2009.
Dr. Wheeler’s interest in dentistry started from his grandmother’s obsession with her grandchildren’s oral health. While growing up, if something was wrong with his grandmother’s teeth, they were simply removed. As a result, she found herself in a full set of upper and lower dentures at the young age of 25. She was so determined to not pass on her adolescent disregard of oral hygiene to her grandkids, she would keep her false teeth on display until every one of the grandkids brushed their teeth in the morning. Dr. Wheeler found himself fixating on dentistry as a result of her constructive scare tactics.
After graduating from Hamilton Southeastern High School, Dr. Wheeler went on to major in Biology at Indiana University-Bloomington. During his time in Bloomington, Dr. Wheeler was involved in organizations such as Indiana University’s Dance Marathon, Student Association, and Pre-Dental Society. As an active member, Dr. Wheeler also held leadership and executive positions within the Sigma Chi fraternity on campus. After receiving his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, Dr. Wheeler earned a Master of Science in Biology degree from Purdue University. Dr. Wheeler worked as a Biochemist for a private contractor at Eli Lilly’s Technology Center before attending dental school.
In 2021, Dr. Wheeler received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Indiana University School of Dentistry and he accepted an offer from Bailey & Wright Dentistry to work at their new satellite office in Lapel - Wright & Wheeler Dentistry. While Wright & Wheeler Dentistry was under construction, Dr. Wheeler worked at Bailey & Wright Dentistry in Indianapolis.
Dr. Wheeler is a member of the American Dental Association, Indiana Dental Association, and Indianapolis District Dental Society.
Dr. Wheeler married his high school sweetheart, Chelsea, in May 2021. They also recently bought a home in Fishers and have loved returning to a familiar location close to their families. Dr. Wheeler enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, playing golf, and trying out new restaurants. His favorite aspect of dentistry is building relationships with patients and working with his hands. He could not be more excited to meet and get to know the people of Lapel and other surrounding areas!
